Congratulations to the Florida United Methodist Foundation on its 50th anniversary of service to Florida United Methodist churches, ministries and individuals. The Foundation is best known for providing low-rate loans (currently 3.5%) to churches for building projects or purchase of new facilities. CCUMC has utilized this service in the past.
But there’s much, much more. For starters: individuals and churches can receive 1.5% return on their deposits in the Development Fund (a savings account); four-year college scholarships are available to qualified students; churches can utilize the Foundation’s investment services; stewardship education events are held on a regular basis; pre-retirement seminars are provided for clergy. Foundation staff members also work with individuals on estate planning (e.g., setting up a Charitable Gift Annuity).
