Genesis 9: 12-17

This past week, I was hunting in the flood plain of the Savannah River.  Cypress trees with knees ten feet high, oak trees eight feet in diameter, a vast array of plants growing everywhere I looked.  Add to that the various animals; birds, spiders, deer, hogs and squirrels and the picture makes me more aware of God and the glorious creation that God provided for me to enjoy and care for even when I am hunting.

This is the God that made a promise to Noah and all “flesh” through the symbol of the rainbow.  This is the God that was disappointed in Adam and Eve yet clothed them and cared for them.  This is the God that I believe, cares for me and is available to give me hope and strength where ever I am.  The rainbow reminds me of our amazing God.
