Thanksgiving Bags for HUM Due

Every year we partner with Halifax Urban Ministries to provide Thanksgiving meals to their clients. Bags will be available in the Courtyard on Sunday, November 1, and Sunday, November 8.

We Plan to Provide 200 Bags

Please Bring These Items (in one large paper bag) to the Church on November 15, 2015

Please include $10 (either cash or a check written to CCUMC with HUM on the memo line) in the attached envelope.

This money will be used to purchase gift cards for the turkey.

Chicken Broth – 1 can
Corn – 1 can
Cranberry Sauce – 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup –

1 can
Green Beans, Canned –

2 cans
Instant Potatoes – 1 box or

1 bag

Stuffing – 1 box or 1 bag Sweet Potatoes, Canned

– 1 medium can or 2 small cans

Non-perishable Dessert (such as cookies or

brownie mix)

VERY IMPORTANT: Do not bring the giant, economy size cans (Sam’s, etc.). Everything must fit in the one paper bag.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING BAGS EARLIER – WE HAVE DIFFICULTY STORING THEM
