Sermon:

Throughout the ages Christ followers have struggled with how to best practice following Jesus (likeness – doing what God does!). Some promoted orthodoxy (right beliefs) and others orthopraxy (right actions). Both of these have a place in a transformed life. There is a great theme throughout scripture of slowing down and being in silence – just being still. It is the Theme of the Great Unknowing. It is not encouragement to do nothing but rather of actively stopping and being present to and with God. When we live life at 70 mph it is difficult to smell the roses and notice a single flower along the way. How do you slow down to connect to God? Is there a time/date of the week? Is there a special place? How often do you get connected to God?
