Sermon: One With Christ

Every generation has to reclaim this part of the Christian journey. Being nice and being good are not the end goal of following Christ. It is in the one-ness and the mirroring of Christ that makes all the difference. While many believe Jesus comes to show us God it is also fair to say that Jesus comes to show us how to be fully human. We then must come to terms with a deeper calling to love unconditionally. We must be reminded over and over that Jesus is not our own best projection of what humans would call fair but God’s love in the flesh. This radical unconditional love is why we call it the Good News.
