The CCUMC Leadership Council is the decision-making body of our congregation. Volunteers are elected by the congregation for a three-year term. Decisions are made through discernment, conversation, and collaboration.
The CCUMC Leadership Council is made up of the Administrative Team, Vision Team, and Guide Team.
- The Administration Team focuses on finances, buildings, policy, and human resources.
- The Vision Team focuses on the vision and direction of the church as a whole, cultivating culture, discerning ministries, and exploring “big picture” work on behalf of the congregation.
- The Guide Team focuses on congregational and community engagement, connecting persons to our membership and discipleship pathway, as well as leadership roles and volunteer opportunities based on a person’s interests and giftedness.
Three additional teams support the work of the Leadership Council.
- The Endowment Team manages and grows our congregation’s endowments in the areas of scholarships, missions, capitol, and perpetual pledges.
- The Stewardship Team grows generosity in our congregation.
- The Scholarship Team coordinates our local scholarship program, which includes mentorship and cash awards for higher education.
