We opened in 1970 as a community outreach ministry of Coronado Community United Methodist Church. Over the span of the last 50 years, Coronado Day School has provided loving care and education for numerous children from our community. While the population and its needs have changed over the years, the Coronado Day School remains consistent in providing high-quality, early childhood education and care to all its students.
Our program provides a variety of learning opportunities including social skills, Christian values, creative arts, language, math, and science.
We invite you to call 386-427-3561 to schedule a personalized tour of our first-class campus. Our school is located at 201 S. Peninsula Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The school entrance is off Cedar Avenue. Use this same number to inquire about pricing and class openings. We’re happy to discuss enrollment options with you.
Research shows the most important part of quality childcare and successful early learning is the choice of staff. We pride ourselves on our warm, nurturing, and positive staff. They respect each other, every family, and every child’s personality and needs. They are specifically trained and credentialed in early childhood development, and it’s evident in the high-quality care they provide.
Rose Armstrong has over 20 years of experience in childcare. She's been at Coronado Day School for 7 years teaching VPK and was promoted to director in 2024.
Rose was born and raised in Edgewater, Florida. After graduating from New Smyrna Beach High School, she attended Daytona State College where she studied Early Childhood Development. She's been married 26 years and has one son.
